ATMA is dedicated to the preservation of the Tibetan Mastiff, and to the promotion of sound, healthy dogs of traditional temperament and beauty.

The American Tibetan Mastiff Association is a member of the American Kennel Club and, as such, is the only national Tibetan Mastiff Breed Club which is recognized and sanctioned by the AKC.
